About IPS

Marine Corps standards, applied to buildings.

IPS is owned and led by a former United States Marine. The Corps taught us how to plan a mission, execute it efficiently, and hold the standard no matter what — and that's exactly how we run every maintenance call, renovation, and contract today.

Our Story

Founded by a Marine. Built on follow-through.

IPS was founded in 2015 by Darryl Mason, a United States Marine Corps veteran who served on active duty from 2010 to 2015. After an honorable discharge, Darryl came home to Iowa, earned a business degree with an emphasis in entrepreneurship, and started IPS as a lawn-care company to pay his way through school.

Lawn care led to repair work for realtors and property managers. Repair work led to full remodels. And by proving it could deliver documented, on-schedule renovations again and again, IPS became a renovation contractor for the nation's largest mortgage company — turning around whole properties at institutional volume.

Today that same team maintains and renovates commercial and government facilities across Iowa and the Midwest. The standard hasn't changed since day one: show up when promised, do what the scope says, and leave a paper trail that proves it.

The Marine Corps Core Values

Honor

We do what we say and bill what we quoted. Our name is on every scope, every invoice, and every closeout package — and we treat that name like it matters, because it does.

Courage

The straight answer, even when it costs us the job: which work pays back, which doesn't, and what a realistic schedule actually looks like. No sugar-coating, no surprises.

Commitment

The mission isn't over until the punch list is closed, the photos are documented, and the site is clean. We finish what we start — on time and to standard.
